Post Description

The duties of the Financial Management Trainee will focus mainly on bursary administration and student support. Responsibilities include:

  1. Distributing bursary forms – Handing out Department of Education (DoE) bursary forms and Schedule of Particulars (SoP).
  2. Explaining requirements – Guiding applicants on required supporting documents.
  3. Record keeping – Tracking students who apply and submit forms.
  4. Follow-ups – Checking bursary application returns from SSS-CC or NSFAS.
  5. Meetings – Attending bursary-related meetings.
  6. Document handling – Making copies for bursary administration.
  7. Claims – Processing transport and accommodation claims for bursary-funded students.
  8. Checklist verification – Ensuring applications are complete.
  9. Student communication – Informing students about due dates for submissions.
